Regional Businesses Receive $474,000 in Grant Funding through X-TEND WA

Regional businesses across Western Australia, including in the Kimberley, Geraldton, and the South West, have secured a share of $474,000 in grant funding through the X-TEND WA program. This funding is aimed at accelerating new and emerging businesses and driving innovation in regional communities.

The latest round of funding, which includes six recipients from various parts of the state, will see each business receive up to $100,000 in co-contributory grants to support the delivery of their programs. The grants will help foster local entrepreneurship and enable these businesses to expand their operations, creating more job opportunities and boosting regional economies.

X-TEND WA is part of a broader initiative to support new industries in Western Australia. Since its inception in 2019, the program has awarded more than $2.5 million in grants, with a shift to a year-round application process allowing businesses to apply at any time, rather than being limited to an annual window.

These latest recipients are the first to benefit from the program's new year-round application model. This initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to support innovation and strengthen regional economies.
