Over 80,000 Seniors Embrace Digital Access with New Seniors Card

Over 80,000 seniors in Victoria have embraced the digital age, with the digital version of the Seniors Card now available for download through the Service Victoria app. Since its launch in June 2023, the digital card has allowed seniors to access a range of discounts and benefits, much like the physical card, but in a more convenient and secure format.

The digital Seniors Card can be added to the Service Victoria digital wallet on a mobile device in less than five minutes, offering the same advantages as the traditional card. Benefits include discounts on shopping, dining, travel, healthcare, and more, including special offers for groceries, petrol, and hardware.

Seniors have also been using their digital cards to access events and free public transport during the Victorian Seniors Festival, held every October, which features various cultural and recreational events throughout the state.

The Service Victoria digital wallet now includes not only the Seniors Card but also other important identification tokens like the Veterans Card, Digital Driver Licence, and Working with Children Check, allowing Victorians to securely store and access essential documents on their smartphones. This reduces the need to carry physical cards, minimizing the risk of loss or theft.
