Fostering Innovation Sponsorship Program Gives ‘Remarkable’ Boost to Tech Collaboration

A new round of funding is set to strengthen connections across the innovation ecosystem in NSW. The Fostering Innovation Sponsorship Program will support 13 organisations, including Remarkable, an initiative by the Cerebral Palsy Alliance focused on empowering innovators in Disability Tech.

A total of $400,000 will fund events and projects like pitch nights, hackathons, tech summits, and workshops. These activities aim to create new businesses and attract investment in key sectors.

The first event will be a pitch night at UNSW in Southwest Sydney. Many other events will follow across the state. Highlights include a forum on the gender funding gap at Tech Central, a medtech and health innovation workshop in Wagga Wagga, and the Remarkable Disability Tech Summit 2025 at Sydney Town Hall.

The Sponsorship Program encourages collaboration and partnerships. It aligns with the goals of the Innovation Blueprint 2035. The latest funding round supports activities in both Sydney and regional NSW.

The program received a record number of applications this year. It backs initiatives linked to innovation, housing, clean energy, and local manufacturing priorities. The goal is to build a strong innovation ecosystem that creates economic and social opportunities.

The Remarkable Disability Tech Summit aims to help shape AI and new technologies in an inclusive way. More than one billion people worldwide need assistive technology, but less than 10% have access to it. This gap represents a $1.9 trillion opportunity for growth and innovation.

Support for the program will help expand Pitch Night South West and deliver the MedTech Innovation Workshop in Wagga Wagga. These events will help diverse and regional innovators turn ideas into real health solutions.

The Fostering Innovation Sponsorship Program continues to build a strong and connected innovation community across NSW.
