New South Wales will receive a $25 million investment to grow its agricultural industries. The Agriculture Industries Innovation and Growth Program will fund businesses to adopt new technologies, improve productivity, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Grants range from $500,000 to $4 million for eligible agricultural businesses, cooperatives, and for-profit organisations. Funding can be used for on-farm or off-farm upgrades, new production equipment, and Agtech solutions that increase output and reduce environmental impact.
Eligible projects include producing higher-efficiency fertilisers from agricultural waste, developing plant-based protein products, creating new feed additives to lower emissions in the beef sector, and improving packaging and processing equipment for national and export markets. Projects that reduce waste or improve output for growers may also receive support.
The program aims to create jobs, increase production, and strengthen regional economies. It builds on recent growth in NSW’s primary industries, which reached a historic $25.5 billion Gross Value of Production last year.
Applications open on Monday 1 December 2025 and close on Friday 23 January 2026. More information and full program guidelines are available at nsw.gov.au/aiigp.
