West Tech Fest 2024 is gearing up to welcome a remarkable lineup of visionary entrepreneurs and innovators from around the world. As Western Australia’s leading technology and innovation festival, West Tech Fest will take place from 2 to 6 December and will feature a series of high-profile speakers, including Monique Woodard, founding partner of US-based Cake Ventures, and Steve Killelea, founder of the Institute for Economics and Peace.
Other notable speakers include Linzi Boyd, founder of One Earth, who will present at the event West Tech Coast, and many other industry leaders, investors, and CEOs. The festival has grown into a key annual event for Western Australia’s tech and innovation community, bringing together local talent and global expertise to inspire collaboration, investment, and new opportunities.
The 2024 festival promises a dynamic program, including keynote speeches, panel discussions, and exclusive events such as pitching sessions, hackathons, and a Youth Entrepreneurship Showcase. Additionally, the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre will serve as the main venue for the event, creating a central hub for innovation and networking.
For the first time, expressions of interest are open for international businesses to participate in the Global Tech and Innovation Program, which will run alongside the festival. The program offers international delegates the chance to explore WA’s thriving digital technology industry and innovation ecosystem while attending a range of activities and networking events. One delegate per company will have their participation costs covered by Invest and Trade Western Australia.
The event is also expected to attract a range of prominent investors, including CSIRO’s Main Sequence, Airtree, and Blackbird, all of whom will be seeking the next big tech investment.
Leading up to the event in December, a group of 10 WA-based tech companies will showcase their innovations at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Sydney, including companies like WaveX, Kivik Group, Claras.ai, and SpaceDraft.
