Mobile Learning Centre Travels NSW to Promote Agricultural Technology

The Farms of the Future Mobile Learning Centre has traveled over 10,000 kilometers across New South Wales since its launch in February 2026. Housed in a customized Volvo B12 bus, the mobile unit brings agricultural innovation directly to regional communities, including stops in Mudgee, Orange, Lismore, Dubbo, and Broken Hill. Nearly 1,200 people have experienced virtual reality technology and live demonstrations of Agtech solutions on board.

The centre offers hands-on access to tools such as water tank monitors, soil moisture probes, virtual fencing collars, in-paddock weighing systems, and weather stations. These technologies are designed to improve productivity, strengthen farm resilience, and enhance resource management. Additionally, more than 1,500 producers have completed Agtech Fundamentals training courses associated with the program. The bus continues its tour through November, with scheduled appearances at field days in Orange and Cowra.
