GovHack 2025

GovHack is a yearly open data competition held across Australia and New Zealand. It brings people together to create new ideas using government data. Over one weekend, teams have 46 hours to build a project and tell its story in a short video.

GovHack is open to everyone. You can be a developer, designer, artist, storyteller, researcher, or just someone who loves data. The best teams have a mix of skills.

This event is about using open data to solve problems, build tools, and share stories. It is a space for creativity, learning, and teamwork. Great prizes are up for grabs, along with honour and recognition at the Red Carpet Awards.
