Wind Energy Jobs Boost Under $8 Million Fund

A Western Australian company will expand its operations and create new jobs in the growing wind energy sector through support from the $8 million Wind Energy Manufacturing Co-Investment Program.

Turbine Solutions has received $453,230 in funding to build a specialised local workforce trained in wind energy services. The company will use advanced tools to service and maintain wind turbines across the State.

The project will establish Turbine Solutions as a key service provider in Western Australia’s renewable energy industry. It will offer operators local expertise supported by modern technology and industrial experience.

The funding is delivered in collaboration with the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre (AMGC). Turbine Solutions will also work with an international equipment manufacturer to deliver services such as bearing replacements and borescope inspections, which are vital to turbine performance.

The company will adapt its experience from the oil and gas sector to develop new methods that reduce turbine downtime, improve safety, and provide faster local maintenance. The initiative is expected to create up to 15 new jobs and generate $11.2 million in revenue over the next five years.

Other local companies, including Australian Winders and RCR Advanced Technologies, have also received funding through the program. Together, the three projects are forecast to create more than 85 jobs and deliver $65 million in new revenue within five years.

The Wind Energy Manufacturing Co-Investment Program supports local manufacturers entering or expanding within the renewable energy sector. It offers up to half of eligible project costs, with matching investment from industry partners.
