Developed following extensive scoping, the strategy emphasises the key role of successful digital industries in driving a broader digital economy, alongside digital government and society.
Research shows that highly digitally engaged businesses generate 60% more revenue per employee and are expected to grow 28% faster than those with limited digital engagement.
The publication of the draft seeks public feedback on the proposed approach and invites suggestions for additional ways in which the government can work with stakeholders in the digital ecosystem to cultivate a digitally empowered economy.
