Queensland Invites Industry to Shape Future Resources Exploration

Queensland is inviting companies to help identify new areas for resources exploration. An Expression of Interest (EOI) process has been launched to gather input on land near existing coal and gas sites.

The process also includes interest in a region near Julia Creek in North-West Queensland, where vanadium resources have been found.

The goal is to support steady growth in resources investment. This will help boost the economy and provide jobs. The new EOI follows earlier efforts to open up land for gas exploration.

Industry feedback will guide future decisions on land releases for exploration. The focus is on creating certainty and confidence for businesses to invest in Queensland’s resources sector.

The effort aims to keep the resources pipeline strong and secure long-term benefits for the state.
