The Dulacca Wind Farm was officially opened today, marking a significant step in the renewable energy journey and reinforcing Queensland's position as a national leader in sustainable energy.
Developed by RES and owned by Octopus, the 180MW project has been instrumental in creating 150 jobs in regional Queensland during peak construction.
State-owned CleanCo has entered into a long-term power purchase agreement with the Dulacca wind farm, purchasing 70% of its output (equivalent to 126MW). This strategic collaboration ensures that the renewable energy generated in the Western Downs will contribute to CleanCo's mission to provide affordable and clean energy to its diverse customer base. Notable customers include BHP Mitsubishi Alliance and Scentre Group, owner and operator of Westfield shopping centres in Queensland.
