Energy Conference Opens Doors for Aboriginal Businesses

Expressions of Interest are now open for Aboriginal businesses to take part in the Aboriginal Business Pavilion at Energy Exchange Australia 2026.

The event, known as EXA, will take place from 10 to 12 March 2026 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will bring together professionals from across the energy industry to share ideas, explore opportunities, and build connections in areas such as oil, gas, renewables, and clean energy.

In 2025, the conference drew more than 6,000 visitors from 33 countries, featuring over 250 exhibitors and 170 speakers. The upcoming event is expected to attract even greater participation.

The Aboriginal Business Pavilion will give Aboriginal-owned enterprises a platform to display their products, technologies, and services to both local and international audiences. It aims to help businesses reach new markets, form partnerships, and strengthen their role in the growing energy supply chain.

Last year, 12 Aboriginal businesses took part, with interest increasing each year. The initiative supports broader efforts to expand economic opportunities for Aboriginal people and promote inclusion in high-growth industries.

The Expression of Interest period closes on 24 October. More details are available at EXA: https://www.wa.gov.au/organisation/department-of-energy-and-economic-diversification/exa-meet-the-aboriginal-business-pavilion-participants
