Construction Underway on King Rocks Wind Farm

Construction has begun on the King Rocks Wind Farm, a 105-megawatt renewable energy project led by Synergy in Western Australia. The site is located 35km north-east of Hyden.

Seventeen wind turbines will be installed, each reaching 206 meters in total height, with 125-meter towers and 80-meter blades. The wind farm will generate enough electricity to power up to 70,000 homes. Roads, transmission lines, and a substation will be built as part of the project.

Around 200 jobs will be created during construction, with additional roles during the 30-year operation of the wind farm. A workers’ accommodation facility has already been built nearby, offering 189 temporary rooms for staff.

The project is expected to be completed in 2027. It is part of ongoing investments in renewable energy infrastructure across the state.

King Rocks Wind Farm is designed to support a reliable and sustainable power supply for homes and businesses in Western Australia.
