Community Organizations Receive Funding for Energy Efficiency Support

Twelve community and not-for-profit organizations across NSW have been awarded a share of $4.7 million in funding to help households reduce energy costs. The Community Energy Activation Program supports local groups in providing practical advice on cutting bills, accessing rebates, and making home upgrades such as insulation, draught-proofing, and rooftop solar installations.

Recipients include organizations serving diverse communities, from Western Sydney to the Central West and Hunter regions. The funding enables these groups to offer workshops, one-on-one support, and tailored assistance for renters and low-income households. This initiative builds on previous grants aimed at improving energy literacy among vulnerable populations. By expanding local programs, the scheme aims to ensure broader access to information about cleaner, more efficient energy technologies and cost-saving measures.
