Carbon Innovation Grants Program Opens Second Round

More than $4 million in new grant funding is now available to support technologies that reduce, remove or offset industrial emissions in Western Australia.

The Carbon Innovation Grants Program encourages organisations to develop and test projects that can lower emissions from heavy industries. These industries contribute more than half of the State’s total emissions and are a key focus in the move toward net zero by 2050.

Funding is open for both feasibility studies and pilot projects. The program aims to support innovation that can be scaled and commercialised across the industrial sector.

In the first round, $4.24 million in grants was awarded to nine organisations. The second round will provide about $4.35 million to new applicants.

Projects funded through the program are expected to help advance decarbonisation, improve industrial efficiency and strengthen Western Australia’s clean technology capabilities.

Applications are now open. For more information, head to: https://www.wa.gov.au/service/community-services/grants-and-subsidies/carbon-innovation-grants-program
