Australian Startups Accelerate Global Renewable Energy Growth

Twenty Australian startups have been chosen for the third round of the RISE Accelerator. The program helps companies with renewable energy solutions expand into international markets, especially India.

Delivered by CSIRO, the program supports startups and small to medium enterprises to test, validate, and commercialise their technologies. It focuses on innovations in critical minerals, materials processing, durable infrastructure, and digital systems for renewable energy.

Participants will take part in online learning, in-person workshops, mentoring, and market immersion visits. The program aims to prepare companies for international markets and help them form local partnerships.

James Robinson, RISE Accelerator Program Director, said startups often have transformative ideas but lack resources to scale globally. Programs like RISE give companies access to local insights and networks to grow their impact.

Selected companies include Rux Energy, which develops high-efficiency hydrogen storage using nanoporous materials. Tom Webb, Chief of Staff at Rux Energy, said India is a key market and manufacturing partner for the company. The RISE program helps them build partnerships and deliver clean energy solutions.

Syncrowin, another participant, offers an AI-powered industrial autopilot platform. It monitors and optimises operations in energy, mining, and manufacturing. CEO Aishwarya Kansakar said the program will help scale the platform across India and Australia to support decarbonisation and digital transformation.

Each company will receive a $35,000 grant over four months. Companies ready to run pilot projects will receive an additional $100,000. Activities include cross-border workshops and travel to India.

The 20 companies selected are Allegro Energy, Bridge Select, Corellian, Electric Power Conversions Australia, EnergyOS, Goldray Electric, Green Gravity, H2i Group Limited, Kardinia Energy, Neara, Metro Power Company, MLB Industrial, Oxleigh Recycling Technologies, Rux Energy, Sicona Battery Technologies, Steber International, Syncrowin, Voltavate, Zekitek, and ZenQuo.
